We Bring the World to Dothan

Alabama's Largest and Oldest Privately Owned Antique Store

Since 1969, we have been in the same location, daily buying and selling antiques. We have expanded to 16,000 square feet of showrooms filled with American and European Antique Furniture, Paintings, Tapestries, Bronze and Marble Statuary, and Fountains. People forget to look for our Quilt room, Oak room, Music area, and Depression glass room. Three generations of our family are waiting to serve you. We will be glad to share our years of knowledge and experience. We stand behind every item we sell. Our hours are Monday thru Saturday 10 am to 5 pm.

Our online store is a small taste of what we have in our 16000 sq ft of inventory. We have tried to list some prime examples of quality antiques we carry. If you see anything that strikes you we can send more pictures of similar-styled items. Also we can send more detailed pictures and measurements upon request. We have omitted many smalls in our Shop section, being as many of them are already listed in our eBay Store.

We have extensive contacts throughout Europe, Asia and in all areas of our blessed United States. If you are searching out unique items that you do not see here, do not hesitate to Contact Us for helping you procure the items you so desire. Thanks!

French walnut table 16.5" painted cameo Occasional Side Round Black Forest style

875.00

Offered for sale is an incredible small antique walnut French table with 22 hand painted ovals of peasants/people. The table is H 27 1/2" x Diameter of top 16 1/2". At first glance, you think the table is inlaid micromosaics. The hand painted ovals are colorful and very detailed and artistic. The tripod table legs are beautifully carved. We bought this on a buying trip to France. As often seen in 150 year old furniture, there is an age crack in the center. Wood shrinks across the grain. This is an age crack and cannot be "repaired". As I tell my customers about age cracks, you just have to get over it. When you are 150 years old, you will have a big crack, too! The center of the table is beautifully carved within a circle. This is a work of art, literally, and would be a conversation piece in any environment. Bid with confidence!
